What is Liablity/Umbrella Insurance 

Umbrella insurance is used when your auto, home, or personal insurance damages exceed the policy. Example- Image you get in a car wreck that has $500,000 in personal damage. Your insurance covers $300,000 of the damage which means you have $200,000 out of pocket expense. Umbrella insurance will cover the rest so your savings doesn’t have to. 

It doesn’t just cover auto expenses, it covers and personal insurance issue that exceeds the amount on the policy.
